Dana 60's from 1972: The 2" x 1/2" Dana ID tag is bolted onto the housing using two bolts...just to the left (rear axle), to the right (front axle) of the inspection cover.

The code is composed of 7 or 8 numbers, like these examples: 603010-1 or 603010-11.

The Ford ID tag was located under one of the bolts that retains the inspection cover to the housing. Many of these are now missing.
