What's the diff between these factory stereos?

I'm thinking about hitting a local used parts store and picking up a replacement for my factory Casette radio in my 99 Ranger. I'm not an audiophile, so I don't think I need anything more than factory I don't think, and I like the idea of pulling out the old and just sliding in the "new". Lazy, I know. :-)

I'm open to aftermarket units, but I don't want to spend a lot, worry about it getting stolen, and don't want to mess with installation much (remember ... lazy).

When I search online at this parts place (www.blacklaneauto.com), I find several part #'s come back, and I'm sure there are probably several more. Does anyone know what the difference is between these part #'s or where I could find out? Is there any significance to the -BB, -AA, -AC, -CD etc? Also, is there any real significance to the F87F-, XL5F-, XL2F-, F87F, etc?

Here's what turns up when I search for CD-Player for my 99 Ranger.

AM-FM-CD (sgl disc), 24 watt (center slot), ID F87F-18C815-BB
