I also happen to have a 1999 E450 based Fleetwood and want to install a Pioneer AVIC-X920BT Nav unit in it.

Crutchfield is telling me that this Ford chassis is not a DIN 2 (japanese) mount and that the Pioneer will not fit even though the factory radio that I have is dimensionally a 2 DIN mounting.

Have you had any luck taking your unit out.

I do have the Removal tool like the previous poster mentions but the unit seems to be stuck and does not want to come out when i press the tools in and engage in the holes with a "click"
