Look at the vehicle certification label on your door. At the very top it says
"MFD. BY FORD MOTOR CO. IN U.S.A."

The first three vehicle identification number (VIN) positions are the world manufacturer identifier.

1FM — Ford Motor Company, USA, multi-purpose vehicle

1-5 are made in North America, F is Ford Motor Co. M is Multipurpose
1, 4, 5 = United States
2 = Canada
3 = Mexico
(Crown Vics, for example, begin with 2FA. 2=Canada,F=Ford Motor Co, A= Passenger Automobile)

The eleventh VIN position is the assembly plant code.

U — Louisville (Louisville, Kentucky)
Z — St. Louis (Hazlewood, Missouri).
