To pull the transmission
-undo the four nuts on the driveshaft at the rear end

-Slide the drive shaft out of the transmission tail.

-disconnect the battery and remove the starter (2 bolts v-8, 3 bolts 6 cylinder)

-remove the 6 bolts from the bell housing (3 on each side)

-Remove the inspection cover on the transmission(Plate between the transmission and back of the motor)

-undo the torque converter nut in the inspection plate area

- turn the motor at the crank by hand until you see the next torque converter nut (4 nuts total)

-disconnect the 2 transmission lines from the transmission to the radiator

-put a sturdy jack with a piece of 2x6 on top under the transmission pan

- disconnect the transmission mount and undo the bolts on either end of the transmission crossmember.(1 bolt on each side)

-jack the transmission up until the cross member is clear, remove crossmember

- slowly lower the jack and pull back from motor
