it wont hurt your truck any. just your wallet if you get caught. I work in the oil field so I know a lot of people that run it. Here if you get caught they can charge you a tax for every mile on the truck + a fine on top of that. It dont matter if you just bought the truck or you have only put one tank in it. They will assume you have run it for every mile. I know of a guy that got caught and ended up with a $10k fine. That was his first offense as far as I know too.
