i have had both, i had a 99 crew long bed a 04 crew short bed and a 05 crew short bed, if you need a long bed for work then get one, but if you dont need it it makes for a long truck. the 05 and up trucks turn much better (shorter turing radius) with the coil spring front suspension keep that in mind also.
