Ever seen a battery explode? I have. Not a pretty sight. Connecting your battery cables in a way that creates spark is enough to blow one up right in your face. I've seen it happen. The same thing goes when connecting jumper cables. To "erase" any memory functions, the only thing you need to do is remove the negative cable for a few minutes.
Thanks for the tip. I never knew which cable came off first.
