Thanks, Joe, for your tip. I went outside, depressed the gas pedal slightly as you suggested, but still no start. The engine cranks quickly, so the battery is fully charged, still.

I did notice, however, that the "Theft" light on the dash blinked very rapidly. I hadn't noticed that before and don't know if this is normal.
