Some of us call the 360 a de-tuned 390. It was the last of the FE series, designed at the beginning of the emissions era, and used in trucks only.

The 360 is a 390 bore block with 352 rotating assembly, so rebuilding with 390 rotating assembly just makes it a 390, no more or less.

The 360 used the D2 series heads with hardened seats for unleaded gas. Too many other items can figure into the compression factor so unless it is really important do worry over it.

If it doesn't have it now, electronic ign. is a priority upgrade. The Petronix or Ford Duraspark are excellent choices. IMHO
