Actually it is feeding the gallery for the cam first. I am pretty sure there is a groove around that cam bearing for the pathway to the head. I just wish someone could confirm my understanding.

It isn't the oil filter (which is brand new, <2k miles). It is either a plugged oil port/passageway or a spun cam bearing, imo. Guess I will pull the head and chase down the plugged oil port idea.
