Those don't sound like anything I have seen FORD offering, since they were ordered with the trucks, I'll bet they were Dealer Installed. Check to see which dealer sold those two trucks and check with that dealer to see where they came from.
You might also check Owens Products Inc., what you are describing sounds like their Classic or ClassicPro series running boards.
