As you have found, FT and FE intakes are not interchangeable.

FT motors also have larger crank snouts.

But, I don't see why you couldn't use that 390 in the truck. In fact, if it has the same bellhousing pattern as the 330, I would jump at that.

Parts will be much easier to find for the 390...that's the biggest thing in my book. I say go and get that 390 back while you still can. 200 bucks is a steal of a deal for a good running FE!!!
