Well, it runs better than it has since I got the truck. It's smoother, since the outer cylinders get the same mixture as the inners now all the time- The old Craptachi had the primary bore towards the outers, and the secondary towards the inners, where the mixture had to make a nearly 180º turn to go to the outers.

You have a lot more room between the frame and engine on a Ranger than I do, my frame rails are very close there. This engine only fits because Mazda mounted the starter off the transmission towards the rear like a Subaru.
