1997 f150 5.4 with Electronic shift on the fly 4wd. where is the relay that i hear click when i turn the **** to 4H? On my other 97 with the 4.6 when i switch to 4H i can hear a relay click but don't know where it is. I read about under the oval in the dasdh but it doesn't sound like that is where the clicking is coming from. I think that this is the issue with the 4x4 not working but i am open to other suggestions.
A brief rundown of the problem:
just picked up another f150 on craigslist with the 5.4 and Electric 4x4. the guy said that 4x4 stopped working and he didn't know the issue but the motor was replaced beauce the other one the magnet was all broken apart (no idea how it happen) but it still don't go into 4x4. if you turn the switch nothing happens and i don't hear any clicking from a relay or soliniod. what should i look at to test and replace and where can i find these parts.
