I forgot...I had a 1bbl from a truck I parted a few yrs ago...SAME as you got...

There IS a code stamped on the carbs mounting flange on the side...

using the fuel inlet as a reference point...lets say that is the front on the truck...for example now as im not sure its actual orientation on the engine...on the LH(drivers side REARWARD facing angled flange is where the code is at...it will be a C#TF and whatever the letter/s following it are...Let me know what you find...you may need some light sandpaper or steel wool to clean it, but it should be there...it is on mine plain as day...
I added a pic of mine in my gallery in the 'misc' section...shows exact location of carb ID stamping.
Its an AutoLite by the way...
