Thanks. I'll check the front connector by the front wheels although I don't remember messing with any connectors when doing the brakes but I assume there must be a wire going to the abs sensor although I don't know where the sensor is but I'll look. Does the wheel have to come off to do this?

Don't know what you mean by what you say in parentheses about the light going out after a continuity check before you start moving. Mine never goes out.

Here is the sequence: 1. turn on ignition/key switch and yellow abs and red brake (brake spelled out) lights come on and then brake light goes out while abs light stays on. 2. Engage starter and the abs light goes off till engine started and starter disengaged by releasing the key switch. 3. After releasing starter on key switch, the abs and brake lights come back on and then the brake light turns off leaving the abs light still on till the engine is shut off again.
