Should I change the gas filter??? One book said their was NO need to change it.

One more question--My son just drove this van to Mertyal beach SC from Louisville KY. He called me today and told me that the van only got about 9.3 Miles per gallon. I know with a 302 & with EFI I am not going to get 25 MPG but 9???. It might need a turn up but he said it was running great...just eats GAS.

This is the second van I have, the other one is a 1977 E150 with a 351 and gets about 12-15MPG and a LOT more power.
