now my father in law would say "what good is a truck bed if you dont have a cap, everything gets wet and you cant lock it up". he keeps tools in the bed and hauls custom woodwork from the shop to jobs.

a few good friends of mine always debate with me about how flatbeds are the only thing work putting on a truck.

to each his own.

as for the hard sliding cover - i know a few people that have and love them.
