Personally I don't see the point of tonneau covers.
Truck beds are meant to be out in the elements and if you want enclosed space you might as well get an Excursion instead of a SuperDuty.

now my father in law would say "what good is a truck bed if you dont have a cap, everything gets wet and you cant lock it up". he keeps tools in the bed and hauls custom woodwork from the shop to jobs.
a few good friends of mine always debate with me about how flatbeds are the only thing work putting on a truck.
to each his own.
as for the hard sliding cover - i know a few people that have and love them.
