I did a part search and found this:

Part #: 1M7246A : COLUMN GEAR SHIFT SOCKET INSULATOR / Fits 1980-1987 F-series with 3 speed manual transmission.

This part also fits 1980-1991 with C4 or C6 auto.

A truck with a 3 speed manual after 1980 is rarer than hens teeth though.
I'll be! 1987!! Halogen headlamp bulbs and a column shifter...talk about being outdated.

I bet. And if there was one, it's probably converted to floor shift from wear and tear by now.
