345HP Hemi Ram vs S/C HD F-150

The Ram will have 345hp / 375? lb-ft of output. The HD will have conparable HP but much more torque (425 ft-lbs @ 3,250; much more torque at a much lower RPM than the Ram). That means it will eat the Ram for lunch off the line, down the track, and anywhere else it wants. *MY* normal 5.4L in my SuperCrew produces 350 ft-lbs in stock trim. The Ram realy doesn't instill fear in my heart to be perfectly honest. It's power peaks way too late in the powerband, just like GM's gas engines. Real work is done off idle, which is how you pull a load. The "Duck" (Dodge, Get it?) has to be reliable before I give it *any* street cred.

BTW: If you ever meet a Dodge Truck powertrain engineer, ask why they used 2 plugs per cylinder. (It eliminates a dead zone in the fuel combustion. This is an inherent issue in the hemi design.)

Ford = Dodge =
