You won't find the Color chips in the parts catalog, only the Color codes themselves are listed.

The Color chips used at this time were on a single sheet of heavy paper, were designed to be inserted into the parts catalog.

Ford sent them yearly to the dealers just before the new models were introduced.

Most of these sheets were tossed out after several years. Most of them...

Pasadena Ford closed last August, the dealer had been in the same location since 1921.

I knew the Parts Manager since he was a punk kid, was my back counter parts driver at Beverly Hills Ford (1969/70).

He gave me all their bound paper parts catalogs (over 60) dating back to 1928, all their microfiche slides (over 500) and the microfiche viewer = FREE.

Inserted into the car & truck parts catalogs, I found the 1961/68 HiPo parts catalogs, the 1965, 1966 (and 1967) Color chip sheets, the 1965 & 1966 Car & Truck Accessory Catalogs, Holman & Moody Parts Catalogs.

I also got the impossible to find Ford Master Cross Reference Catalogs (2) that cover 1959/72.

These catalogs decode the ID numbers found on parts. Everything from cylinder heads to seat frames to transmission cases.
