As for the keys and fobs, my understanding is you do need both factory keys to program additional ones and I am in the same situation as my 2000 only came with one key and one fob.

I am still trying to figure out what other bugs there are with teh truck and if I can fix them or if I need the dealer to address them all at one visit. We have had our 2000 for just under a week.
