You are correct about it working on the current PCM. You bring up some new issues about the sensors and solenoids that I was not aware of. Are these on the on the automatic transmission? I was also told that since the PCM is for an automatic, the engine would hesitate at the shift points for the automatic even though the 5-speed is in the car.
One more question, do you know what would keep me from just getting a PCM for a 2003 3.8L 5-speed car? Why can't I just switch mine with one like that?
