There are alot of good shops out there. I have been painting cars since auto body school in 1977 and now retired and only do my own cars.
What kind of work do you need done? Money money money.....and time!!
I have a few buddies still in business , but they are full up. Where are you located? And look at their work and see if it is what you like.
Body shops get a bad rep....but most of the time...the client does not know what he wants done....or wants the work done and figures he will come up with a little cash and not the full amount and then the shop has to get tough.
I liked to do murals and flames and paint work only. I did body work, but not wrecks and frame work, etc. Look for a shop that better business bureau gives them a thumbs up.
Ask hourly rate. I hated it when a clien says--I can wet sand and primer, and mask--so the job will be cheaper???? WHAT?? This is a atmosphere where you get what you pay for,and know what you want done...and if you are particular--tell them up front. sorry so long.....Bill
