While I understand the choice not to spread it out across the line to maintain some exclusivity, I can't help but feel that with all the money sunk into development of this engine, that they wouldn't try and recoup some of that coin spent in designing it.

Though, I'd be willing to bet Ford had originally planned a more widespread use of this engine prior to the latest fuel SNAFU.
