Ford is hurting for $ right now so I don't think their main focus is on HP in their trucks, but more like SURVIVING.

As for the higher HP 6.2? Ford acted in a similar way with the new Mustang. NO 18" tire option was available on the GT model. Which is like having a horse with no saddle. Later they offered it. Why? After the "gotta have" gang got their units Ford had to "entice" the other crowd by offering more sexy options. I'm sure that same mind set is being played out here with the 6.2 in the F-150.
