Was reading up on the electric one... THAT thing is a truck we need... here are some stats:

over 600hp total
500ft-lbs of torque EACH WHEEL (2000ft-lbs of torque total anyone?)

the bad:
range 100 miles
the good:
the range can be enhanced ten-fold with a small gas tank/gas generator. This would turn an estimated 100mpg...

Only downside, I don't see it being very well suited for going mudding tho
