It depends on what qualifies as better. The AEM filter is dry, polyester, and the kit uses a metal tube. Airaid uses a coton gauze and oil filter, the tube is plastic, and I've dealt with the guys long before they were airaid. I am swayed because I knew them back when they were evergreen performance and was one of my speed parts suppliers.

It's up to you decide if you want a wet or dry filter. My choice is the Airaid.
