Thanks for the info Number Dummy. I did a search on that part, and its for an XLT. I have the 3.0 engine in an XL.
Since my first post, I have been getting some heat sporadically, but nothing I would describe as "hot".
Dunno where you found out that part only fit's XLT's, but that's a lotta horse dung.
XL, XLT, Edge, whatever has
nothing to do with it.
If it did, the 1990 FORD Light Truck Parts Catalog would say so.
It's for a 1996 and newer Ranger 3.0 without A/C.
