and I was wanting to run the numbers on the VIN to see exactally what all it had from the factory. It has a built to the hills 390 in it with a manual tranny and I was just curious to see if that all was half way origional. I need the codes off the Warranty Plate, because...
The VIN does not include the BODY / COLOR / TRIM (Upholstery) / DATE (of production) / DSO (where vehicle was ordered from) / AXLE / TRANS, codes.
The Warranty Plate is located on the left door face below the latch.
Example of a 1967 Fairlane VIN: 7K42S123456: 7 = 1967 / K = Kansas City Assembly Plant / 42 = 500 GT 2 dr HT / S = 390 4V / 123456 = Numerical Sequence of Assembly.
