Hi I am trying to put my truck back together but am having problems. I got the 460 and C6 trans from a donor Lincoln and the motor fit in fine But the trans is 2and1/2 inches longer and mounts differently So I am wondering if I can remove the tailshaft and replace the rear output shaft on the trans and install a shorter rear part on the trans or do I have to replace the whole trans ? I have 2 other C6 trannys that are differrent bellhousings BUT have right length to them. Please anyone Let me know or tell me its not going to work so I can get on with it!!
