You've probably already done it, but look where the tach wire fastens to the coil terminal.
OK, the tach wire on my truck is fastened to the coil terminal just fine. However, I traced the wire back to where it connects to the truck and the wire is chewed off and just sticking straight up close to the firewall but is connectined to nothing! Where does the wire go from here?

The thing is, my tach IS working; the problem is the tach reads too high once it goes into overdrive. (302 carbureted V8 w/ AOD) How do I fix this problem??
