There was a reason The Doors had an album called "Strange Days" in the '60s. Strange things did happen, and this 427 8V truck was one of them. Ford put (or had someone put) 427s into darn near everything.

The old thread shows the truck in current condition, it being a "garage find" item.

This was a 6 cylinder truck off the assembly line and still had the stock exhaust hanging underneath iirc.

It was not a production truck, neither were the 427 Thunderbolt Fairlanes, the Mustangs, Comets, what have you. Later on things like the the '66 ('67?) Fairlane were "production" but very limited. Galaxies got 427s as an option you could find in the owners manual....

But you knew all that.

Very interesting link, never knew a truck like this existed, what would a this truck be worth? Has to be a small fortune.
