Starting a Cleveland/Akron/Lorain Group

Hello everyone:

I am a member on Ford-Trucks.com, but I am not currently a member of the Ohio Chapter. I will be joining shortly.

In the meantime, I was thinking of something interesting that would help Ford enthusiasts like myself gain even more knowledge. If we could start a meet-up group for the Cleveland/Akron/Lorain area, then we could share ideas on how to repair Ford trucks and cars (all models). We could even do some altruistic work and help fix cars of people that cannot afford to hire a mechanic. That would add even more knowledge to our mental date banks, plus give us all tons of experience.

Personally, I have been ecstatic over being able to fix my 1995 F-150 inline 6 truck. I have saved thousands, and this forum has been a Godsend. I think that if people like us could meet once a week somewhere, we could give classes on certain vehicles and become experts in this area. Who knows, it may even be a great way to make money on the side, while at the same time helping people (especially those that get ripped off at the mechanic) to get their cars or trucks fixed.

If this is of any interest to anyone, feel free to reply.

Steve

P.S. I am an HVAC/R mechanic and teacher by trade, but I still love using my mechanical and teaching skills in the automotive field as well.
