Most of the newer factory set-ups will draw air from 'outside' the vehicle -- which is to say, it wont be artificially hot air from inside the engine compartment. My Scangage indicates the same as nfntruth said, within a couple of degrees (usually) of the ambient air temp (unless you're at idle or moving slow while 4x4'n - then it'll jump up).

Even aftermarket CAI's will only give you air that is the same temp as ambient air. On a hot day, using the ice trick would probably just confuse the computer and cause you to run really rich and lose power and economy.
