A couple of reasons I can think of

1. It won't fit in an f150

2. even the v10 is down on HP compared to other manufacturers v8 engines

3. With todays fuel prices ford would sell something like 6 of them.


Ford's triton will never compare to the other manufacturers engines without either being supercharged or completely scrapped for something more modern. Hell even GM's LS series of pushrod engines is more modern than the triton, which is essentially a piece of 1980's technology
