I know the gold valve covers are from the 60's my dad and I made a huge list of what to restore, but my parents are in between a hard place and a rock and are forced to sell it before we could restore it. Thanks Bill for that info too. Anyone know anyone who would be interested in it?
Dunno anyone interested in it.

If was mine, I'd put it in a well advertised old car auction like the Kruse boys or Barret-Jackson stage.

A regional mom and pop auction house won't attract enough moneyed buyers.

I'd list it with a high reserve at 30K or so, then drop the reserve when it gets close to the price you want.

Trying to sell it locally will attract a lotta tire kickers, and maybe a few thieves.

Ppl will nickel and dime your price, point out all that's wrong with it. Most ppl whether moneyed buyers or not, don't know diddly-squat one way or the other!

Many of the so-called collectors today are only looking for an investment.

I sold a minty '68 Galaxie XL FB on ebay...the guy that bought it (a mortgage broker) said he's collecting 1960's Ford muscle cars, and told me what he already had acquired.

Not a one could be classified as a muscle car...none! That included the car he bought from me.

I said nothing...just secretly laughed my a** off!
