I used 2 different shops for my 292. I took my heads to Cylinder Head Specialists on Reno in OKC. They did a great job with a pair of rusty old heads and the price was reasonable. They had to replace all valve seats and 3 valves. He understood that they were hard to find heads and needed to be rebuilt for my project. I used the heads from 1958 that have the large valves and high compression.

I used Folks Auto Machine Shop in Norman for the rest of the machine work. Again they have good prices and they take extra care. They will work with you and do just what you ask but will also recommend things you might not have thought about. I thought I would just have the block and crank work done, but they pointed out that I should bring in the flywheel and pressure plate so they could balance them with the crank. While the flywheel was in the shop I had them resurface it. The total was $595. Folks only takes cash or checks, no credit cards. Cylinder Head Specialists only takes cash.

Hope this helps.
