i would add my two cents worth. In the late 70's & early 80's for several years back on the farm we fed corn sileage every morning, shoveling it out of the 16' box on a 1949 F6. we started with it filled about half full, got our exercise for sure. This fine old devil was powered with what I think may be the big brother to your F1 6 cylinder, i believe it was a 254 cubic inch. yours i think maybe 226 cubic inch. What a sweet engine it was, smooth as silk, very good cold weather starter, not a gas hog. Man would it pull, a good thing too since we were commonly in deep mud. You definitely want to keep your engine, you would like it!
