The A4LD may have a poor reputation, but more than 95% of its problems come from abuse such as overheating, lack of maintenance, driving up hills grades with the torque converter unlocked, and running them low on fluid. The A4LD can handle a lot of torque is its basic operating principles are understood. The A4LD will also last a very long time if it is properly maintained.
