Update - I just installed the Bilsteins tonight. I could tell a dramatic difference. They felt stiffer on the bench but they ride so much softer. They must dissipate energy more efficiently.

I would definitely say they are worth the 250.00 and hour to install them. The only snag was I had to trim the front liners with a dremel to get the allen wrench into the top of the shock. Other than the mismatch of metric and standard hardware it was an easy job.
