We finally decided it was time for the wife to trade in her 2003 Crown Victoria LX. She wanted a 2007 Lincoln MKX. A little internet research showed us two in the area that had the color and options she wanted. I tried to get the local Lincoln dealer to give me an internet price, but they wouldn't deal that way, so we paid them a visit.

After test driving, offers, counters and frustration, I walked away. On a leftover 2007 (it is the 2008 MY) they would only come about $1000 off of MSRP on a $35,000 vehicle. No wonder they have 2007 MKXs on the lot!

To make a long story short, we brought home a new (2007) Nissan Murano AWD.

Lincoln must think the cars are gold plated or something.
