Welcome aboard! I'd like to apologize in advance: If it seems like I'm yelling, it's because I don't see so good. LOL

I don't know a whole lot about cam profiles. Someone else will have to fill in there. I can tell you that the stock grind for a truck is pretty mild. The typical truck engine also has a lower compression ratio than a comparable car engine.

If you plan on working your truck like...well, like a truck, you probably already have the better heads. A little port matching and clean up may be all the benefit you'll have use for.

The 600 CFM 4V carb is perfect for these engines.

I think just about any electronic ignition system will produce a hotter, more reliable spark. Never spent the big bucks for aftermarket stuff. Stock systems handle my current needs.
