I did. But unless you can be happy with a 20+ year old truck that puts out less than 250Hp, then you are stuck with what the dealer sells you.

You might try looking for an 07 6.0, which will get better mpgs and still be reliable being the latest year of that engine.

What we are seeing right now is a similar effect as when leaded gas was phased out, anyone remember the 400 CID smog motor? It too had lots of potential, but the changes in emissions killed it dead.

My guess is that in the next 5 years mpgs will go back up, since imports stand ready to eat the lunch of whats left of the BIG 3, either that, of diesels will fall out of favor with the public again......
