I've heard that adding transmission fluid to the fuel will clean injectors and improve mpg. Any experience with this. How much/often/type/results.

I am assuming you have a dulley, 410 gears, I had one, thats about as good as I got? Remember, 410 gears are for pulling, suck it up!! Just kidding
If you keep your RPMs below 2 k you will yeald your best milage, but get there slower!
