catfish is right. The only thing you would really need to worry about would be the frame towers that would need to be fabricated in order to bolt the engine down, if you have fab skills it shouldt be too big of a deal. But you will need alot of odds and ends stuff such as adding a hydraulic clutch slave cylinder and setup, hoses for p/s, fuel lines etc. The best thing would be to buy a complete 80's model pickup with a 6.9/7.3, that way you will have all the odds and end parts you will need. You will want some heavier front suspension also because that diesel will be considerably heavier than what was ever offered in a 70's era pickup. I'm thinking super duty springs would work fine, you may need to do a little modifying to get them to fit but they are rated for the diesel engine.
