Yeah, there's lots of guys dragging 2x4's. They've done custom suspensions with four linked rear ends and the works to make them hook. I still need my truck to work. Boat launches are way to slick without the 4x4. Getting down into the horse pasture through the mud would be very difficult without 4x4 as well. Some of us need 4x4, but not all the ground clearance.
Gotcha, the op said he does not go off road, he likes the look of a lowered two wheel drive, and he lives dowtown Atlanta where parking is a concern. I was just trying to point out that logically a 2x4 makes more sense than trying to lower his 4x4. Your situation sounds a little different.
