Ford Explorer Anti Theft system bypass or kill

My 1998 5.0L Ford Explorer Limited quit on me. I was unable to start my vehicle. The engine cranks but will not start. I noticed that the "Theft" light on the dash keeps on flashing and did not stop after I put my key on the "ON" position. Ford customer service went through the steps with me to get it to work again but nothing works. The "Theft" light should stop flashing after 3 seconds once you insert your key in. I tried my spare key but no luck. It seems like the SecuriTHEFT system is going nuts on me. Is there a bypass switch or anything in the vehicle that will allow me to bypass this? Is there a switch or something? There are bypass kit on the market for my vehicle but you still need the key to make it work. If you have any input in this, please help. My car is sitting in the Ford dealer right now and I want to know how I can do this myself in the future if I run into it. Any wire spilicing that I can make this work?

Thank you...
