I've built an 82 460, and 2 88's, and a 69 429, didnt find ANY differenced in the blocks..Thinnk someones been readin too many car craft mags...

several differences ....
The post '79 blocks may have internal clearance problems with a stroker crank. The cylinder bores are close to a 1/2" deeper
towards the crank than pre '79s .
I try to use blocks marked from the Cleveland Foundry ...
the were cast more accurately .
If I'm using the Michigan blocks , I always make sure the lifter bores are centered and the oil pressure sender hole is centered .
If they're not centered , none of the other " major " holes are centered in the castings , either
